HCL has launched a 3G-enabled 24.6-cm (9.7-inch) ME G1 tablet in India. ME G1 is the latest addition in HCL’s ME series. The other tablets in the ME range include ME Y2 and ME U1. The new HCL ME G1 runs on the Android 4.0.4 operating system and is based on a 1.2 GHz dual core Cortex A9 CPU along with 1GB of RAM. The tablet sports a 24.6-cm (9.7-inch) IPS 2 display with 1024x768p resolution along with a 2 megapixel rear camera and 0.3 megapixel front camera.

Me G1 houses 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and on the connectivity front, the tablet has built-in 3G support, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI, and microUSB. A 7,000 mAh battery powers the device. The Me G1 does not come with Google Play support, so, users will have to access HCL’s app store.
