WishTel, the manufacturers of IRA and IRA Thing 2 tablets has unveiled its larger screen size tablet in the same series, IRA Comet HD. The tablet comes with a large 25.6-cm (10.1-inch) TFT LED Multi-touch Capacitive touch screen powered by Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. The tablet is powered by 1.2 GHz processor with 1 GB RAM.

In addition to this, the company is also offering over 1000 hours of educational video content, course materials for 12 month and 24 months programme of IIT – JEE (Engineering), Medical AIPMT, study materials for CAT & GMAT entrance exams and school curriculum of CBSE, ICSE syllabus recognised by renowned institutions. All this is being made available at a special subscription cost.

Under the hood, the tablet has an 8 GB internal memory and an expandable memory of upto 32GB and comes with 2.0 MP rear and VGA front camera. HD content at 1080p can be viewed with a video or digital input as well as HDMI output.

The tablet is backed by 5500 mAh battery, which can offer browsing time of approximately five to six hours. It is 3G enabled with external USB port, also the device offers portable network access via Wi-Fi.

The device also comprises G sensor, which is 4 dimensional Gravity Sensor, basically used for gaming. IRA Comet HD has been priced at an attractive Rs 9,999 and will be made available through retail outlets across all cities in India.

The tablet will be also available through leading ecommerce websites and WishTel’s website.

The Wishtel Comet HD tablet is bundled with HDMI cable, wireless headphone, WLAN to USB port cable and card reader.
