AIRTEL Subscribers To Pay Money For Video Calls

From January on wards Airtel subscribers will have to pay about 4 times extra charges for making video calls from Skype and Viber. Airtel introduced their prepaid Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) pack which costs a price of Rs. 75 for 75 MB and it will be valid for 28 days.  It will allow a user to make calls for 200 to 250 minutes. The experts said that the new decision by Airtel is against net neutrality.

Airtel stated that the new decision was taken just to make the company stable. The company wants to maintain their network and they need to invest more money in data networks which will be in turn useful for customers.

Airtel on its statement made clear that the packs introducing for VoIP packs will be affordable and attractive for the users. Also there will not be any other hidden charges. Now the packs are introduced for prepaid customers and soon there will be packs for postpaid customers.

Even though the new pack is introduced the customers who already purchased data plans can enjoy their services till the pack get expired.
