The broadband service launched by RailTel is named as Railwire . The railwire provides internet services to the rural and remote areas of the country at affordable prices. It aims to become a hub of local information and a tool for rendering communication, education, health community services to the masses. As part of its expansion plans, RailTel is further working to facilitate broadband through Wi-Fi at railway stations for convenience of passengers.
