Apple launched its iPad mini last month in October and since then it has grabbed a lot of limelight across the globe. The device has been listed on a few online retailers in India like eBay.com, Tradus.in, etc. But the wait is finally over as BGR reports that the device likely to hit the shelves in coming weeks and the iPad mini will be priced at Rs 21,900 for 16GB Wi-Fi only model.
Though, there is no word on the pricing on its other two variants- 32GB and 64GB but price difference would be somewhere around Rs 6,000. The BGR reports, “The cellular version of iPad mini has just started shipping in countries where Apple has already launched the iPad mini and it is said to be in short supply at the moment.”
Apple’s iPad mini features an aluminium and glass design with a thickness of just 7.2 mm and weighs only 308.44 grams along with multi-touch display, FaceTime HD, and iSight cameras. Apple claims that its iPad mini has 35 per cent more screen real estate than other 17.8-cm (7-inch) tablets along with up to 67 per cent more usable viewing area while surfing the Internet.
The Californian company will have to compete with its rival device, Google Nexus 7 tablet which was launched in the country two weeks back at Rs 19,990. Apple fans can shop for the device through e-commerce portals but for iPad mini to hit the retail stores, one will have to wait for a week or two.
