Idea Cellular has launched an all-new 3G Android smartphone, Idea Aurus. The phone is priced at Rs 7,190 and appears to be a re-branded version of Alcatel’s One Touch 985N.

The smartphone runs on a slightly tweaked version of Google’s Android 2.3 and sports a 8.9-cm (3.5-inch) capacitive display. It also features an 800MHz processor, 5MP rear camera, a front camera, 1300 mAh battery, and dual-SIM connectivity. It is worth mentioning here that only one out of the two SIM card slots support the 3G connectivity.

The telecom service provider has provided some pre-loaded apps on the phone, including apps from its own App store called IdeaApp mall, Android Manager, Currency Converter, augmented reality app Layar, Facebook, photo editor PicSay, Ringdroid, Pinball game, Twitter and Shazam.

Aurus is the fourth Android smartphone from Idea.
