At the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, Nokia had unveiled a new feature phone called the Nokia 301 alongside the 105. The 301 feature phone has arrived at our shores and is now available on e-commerce sites for Rs 5,149 along with a 1 year warranty.
The 301 as we reported earlier, is a feature phone that takes some styling cues from Nokia’s Lumia line of phones. The phone for starters has an alphanumeric keypad in a candy bar form factor and is available in Magenta, Black and Cyan color variants.
In terms of specifications, the 301 runs on Series 40 OS and features a 2.4-inch LCD (240×320 pixels) display, a 3.2-megapixel camera that offers add-ons like Sequential shot, Panorama mode and self-timer, among other camera features. Nokia has also included a simple self portrait assistant with voice integration. It will tell you to move your camera up, down, right, left to centre your face for the shot.
Other features on the phone are FM Radio, a 1,200mAh battery that Nokia claims is good enough for 6 hours of talktime on 3G and 504 hours on standby mode and connectivity options like 3G support, dual-SIM card slots and Bluetooth. Nokia has also bundled the Xpress Browser with the device, which claims to offers up to 90 percent data efficiency.
